Maria Kokkini was born in Athens and studied Mathematics at the University of Patras.

She has worked professionally with cast jewelry while she collaborated with silversmith workshops undertaking the design and manufacture of their jewelry.

She attended painting classes at Marousso Lagoudaki's art workshop, as well as similar studies at the Aloupi workshop at Monparnas in Paris.
Since 2001 she began her professional work with paintings.

Her works are creations on wood and canvas using oil, tempera, acrylic and a combination of other materials.

Maria’s Kokkini works belong to serveral private collections,

in the City Hall of Koropi,
